Rose watched her, eventually slowly sitting down on one of the chairs, fingers touching the am rests, swallowing while she watched Med read it. She hadn’t read it but it looked bad due to Med’s reaction. She knew Bond was gone, to what extent, if he even was she’d never know. She didn’t want to know. She was coming to the point where she was completely done with the Scot. She couldn’t just chase him around, he was unchasable, hard to control even.

She slowly stood up, moving to the table to get some tissues that resided there and brought them over to Med. “Here…you need these…” she mumbled.

The letter dropped to the floor, as Med was unable to even hold it anymore. It was too much. Her head began to spin and her heart started to race in complete and utter pain. He’d simply told her that he’d be on a mission to cover up his escape. Now, he was dead, in god-knows-where. It was unlikely that they’d ever find his body. She’d never gotten to say goodbye, or even ‘I love you’. And she never would get the chance.

As a tear began to roll down her cheek, she looked over at Rose and the tissues. “T-Thank you.” She managed as she reached out and took a tissue. Honestly, however, it was going to take a lot more than tissues to fix all of this. “I-I’m sorry, I just… I-I think I need to be alone. Sort t-things out.” Her voice was shaking, wracked with despair and agony. Life without James was almost too much for her to imagine. All of the bad things she’d thought about him before didn’t matter now. She would go through all of those things a thousand times over just to have him back again.

Rose glanced off, nodding at the thank you, accepting it. Looking to Med, she knew she wasn’t going to be good for a long while. Seemed like James really loved this woman and it was obvious that she loved her back. Well then. She crouched down in front of the other, tilting her chin up. “…Get some rest, don’t mourn to long….it only destroy’s you alright?” she murmured, patting her cheek before again she stood up. “I’ll be off then, I did what I had to do” she mumbled, turning to leave the apartment — and Med alone.

"Probably" she muttered, not really asking to come in when she just strolled right in. “I doubt anyone told you about me but I am Rose Jenaevee Sueitcliff - Bond" she murmured, scratching her cheek a little. “Well, this is for you" she replied, handing the other woman the letter, hands going back to her side, casually looking around the somewhat spacious flat, and it was obvious James was livin—-lived here with her.

Med stepped to the side when the woman came inside, and became even more puzzled. The woman’s surname of ‘Bond’ was surprising, but she assumed that it was just a sister or cousin that James didn’t tell her about, being the reclusive man he was. She took the letter out of Rose’s hand and her heart raced slightly. It wasn’t MI-6 official, but the envelope was scribbled on in James’ handwriting.

Even though she expected the worst, nothing could have prepared her for what was inside that letter. As soon as she finished reading it, her heart stopped. ‘By the time you read this, I’ll be dead,’ it said. ‘I want to die away from MI-6, away from you- I don’t want you to have to go through all of the repercussions.’ The rest of the letter was nothing but an illegible slur to her. Unable to even stand anymore, she fell back into a chair and her eyes began to blur with tears.

This was too soon. He still had at least another nine months left in him, she knew that. He was gone. He knew he was dying rapidly and he didn’t tell her. Had he still been alive, she would have been so cross with him. But he wasn’t, and all she could feel was pain. She didn’t say a word to the woman, unable to think straight.

Rose watched her, eventually slowly sitting down on one of the chairs, fingers touching the am rests, swallowing while she watched Med read it. Rose sighed, standing outside of the flat block, fingers running over the envelope in her hands. She didn’t want to do this — become some stupid mail-woman, giving little notes to her husband’s flings. But to be honest with herself, she was just something that was annoying. Frowning, she headed up the stairs to where M had directed her, going up the flights of stairs to the right floor.

She had put up her hand for this, Jane probably would’ve if she’d been around. It didn’t matter who was bringing it really, it was going to cause grief anyway. She closed her eyes, smacking the letter on her hand, nibbling her lip before knocking upon the door. She’d lost him too, but since he…had gone so often, she just became numb to it.

She now waited.

Med really didn’t feel like getting off of the couch when she heard the door knock. However, she didn’t get many visitors, so she assumed it was important. Either that or her neighbor needed to borrow baking supplies again. With a groan of exasperation, she sat up and pushed the files she’d been looking over to the side. The tv was idly playing reruns of Nevermind the Buzzcocks, and she didn’t bother to turn it off as she want to the door.

When she opened the door, she didn’t recognize the woman that stood there. She definitely was not an MI-6 employee; Med would have recognized her. “Can I help you?” She asked, furrowing her brow slightly. The expression on the stranger’s face concerned her. It was a solemn one, and the letter in her hand peaked her curiosity even more.

"Probably" she muttered, not really asking to come in when she just strolled right in. "I doubt anyone told you about me but I am Rose Jenaevee Sueitcliff - Bond" she murmured, scratching her cheek a little. Med hated lonely nights at the flat after work. Things were… difficult, to say the least. While Med was determined to keep her head held high, it was just getting harder and harder to. James had claimed he’d been sent on yet another mission, which was strange, since she hadn’t been informed of any upcoming missions. Therefore, she’d just smiled and accepted it, as always. At this point, it was a little tiresome, but she was going to try and pull through it all for him. She could convince herself that she was strong enough for that.

Sometimes, she questioned her relationship with him. Not only was he nearly old enough to be her father, but he was being quite fickle with his condition. He refused to go to any examinations, and would always avoid the subject when she brought it up. As if he was denying that he ever had it in the first place. She knew his days were numbered, but that was the last thing she wanted to think about.

At this point, all she wanted was to have him home.

Rose sighed, standing outside of the flat block, fingers running over the envelope in her hands.
