Rose watched her, eventually slowly sitting down on one of the chairs, fingers touching the am rests, swallowing while she watched Med read it. She hadn’t read it but it looked bad due to Med’s reaction. She knew Bond was gone, to what extent, if he even was she’d never know. She didn’t want to know. She was coming to the point where she was completely done with the Scot. She couldn’t just chase him around, he was unchasable, hard to control even.
She slowly stood up, moving to the table to get some tissues that resided there and brought them over to Med. “Here…you need these…” she mumbled.
The letter dropped to the floor, as Med was unable to even hold it anymore. It was too much. Her head began to spin and her heart started to race in complete and utter pain. He’d simply told her that he’d be on a mission to cover up his escape. Now, he was dead, in god-knows-where. It was unlikely that they’d ever find his body. She’d never gotten to say goodbye, or even ‘I love you’. And she never would get the chance.
As a tear began to roll down her cheek, she looked over at Rose and the tissues. “T-Thank you.” She managed as she reached out and took a tissue. Honestly, however, it was going to take a lot more than tissues to fix all of this. “I-I’m sorry, I just… I-I think I need to be alone. Sort t-things out.” Her voice was shaking, wracked with despair and agony. Life without James was almost too much for her to imagine. All of the bad things she’d thought about him before didn’t matter now. She would go through all of those things a thousand times over just to have him back again.
Rose glanced off, nodding at the thank you, accepting it. Looking to Med, she knew she wasn’t going to be good for a long while. Seemed like James really loved this woman and it was obvious that she loved her back. Well then. She crouched down in front of the other, tilting her chin up. “…Get some rest, don’t mourn to long….it only destroy’s you alright?” she murmured, patting her cheek before again she stood up. “I’ll be off then, I did what I had to do” she mumbled, turning to leave the apartment — and Med alone.
